Hi there, I've read that latest smart TV's from LG are able to gather lots of statistical information about users and share it with the company and advertisers. I'd like to know whether it is real or not, and in case that it does so — how can I stop it? Many thanks in advance!

Hi there, Mary!
We at Jammer-Store company have seen reports about the same problems from various people and have made a little research of it. First of all – you should know that your LG smart TV really gathers data about your watching habits, and even more. It is also able to gather the data on your favourite shows, your browsing habits, and the keywords you use to look for certain things. All that data is sent to LG servers and is used to show you targeted ads.
All those modern gadgets spy on you, one way or another. If you will check the settings of your smart TV, you will probably notice an option “Collection of watching info”, which is turned on by default. But even if you will turn that of – the data will still be gathered and sent. So, in order to be sure that your data is not processed – you will have to configure your wireless router to block connections with LG servers. The problem is that it may cause problems with downloading and installing updates.
We've also discovered that smart TV gathers data about all connected devices. If you have connected external hard drive, or a flash drive or any other device, it will also try to scan it and send names of files, that are on that hard drive. So we recommend you to use a Wi-Fi signal jammer, when you need your TV to stop spying.
Thanks, for your question, I hope, I've managed to help!
